Cascadia is a bioregion which is defined by the watershed regions of the Columbia, Fraser, and Snake Rivers. The Cascadian Bioregional movement began in the 1980's and has grown since. The Cascadian movement has worked towards environmental security, social equality, and to increase the autonomy of our region.
The Cascadian Assembly seeks to further the independence of the bioregion. We work towards establishing a more united front for all Cascadian supporters. We also believe in greater political awareness of the movement. Preserving the rights of all people in the Pacific Northwest is very important to us. We believe in protecting groups which have been historically marginalized by promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion. We would also like to acknowledge that the land we live on historically belonged to, and was stolen from, the Natives of the Pacific Northwest. The Cascadian Assembly hopes to foster a bioregion of opportunity and wellbeing for all. Join our assembly and fight for a brighter future!
